I've parted with a really, really, really good friend but it was time to let it go. Thanks to PAlt I've placed my Madone with a really good person. I've seen this beauty change from just a frameset to an Ultegra triple and grow into a full Dura Ace 53/39-10 Speed.

It took me on many, many miles of training, events and numerous centuries. In fact my fastest century ever was on this bike-along with my longest time and distance. It was a true workhorse. It never let me down and always got me to where I needed to go-with lots of comfort to boot. Plus I always thought it was easy on the eyes.

The new owner is just getting into road riding and this is a really terrific first time bike for him-especially with the Dura Ace 10 speed. Plus he's a couple inches taller than me so the 62cm frame should be an even better fit for him. Good to see it go to such a great situation.

Just the same it tugs a little to see it go.

What a wonderful first road bike for your friend. He even has a bit of room to move the stem up if needed. Be happy the Madone still has life and is going to get used. What more can one ask for?
