"The 33"-Road Bike Racing - Olympia Tour

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
The Olympia Tour (http://www.olympiastour2009.nl/) kicked off tonight, with a Team Time Trial starting in, and ending outside of, appropriately enough, Amsterdam's Olympic Stadium.
A slew of pics will be posted on the blog, but for now here's two.

Could be. IIRC light blue shirt geezer in the Blijlevens vs Julich heavyweight showdown photo was chief commissaire on the Tour that year and was a Dutchman. They interviewed him on Australian TV over some altercation during the Tour, may even have been over that incident. Highly likely it is the same bloke.
So Theo Bos just keeps on rolling.
Guess he is trying to snag as many wins as possible before they boot him for a spell.
Ever since the Turkey "incident", he's been on fire.
Didn't speak to him, but every time a fan went up to him to say hello, he took a moment to chat.
^^^
best behavior is his best option
he's a media darling in NL.
the amount of press following him, and blanking the other racers, echoed the circus around LA.

being the neophyte that I am, I didn't even know what the Olympia Tour is. Thought it was some local stage race until I clicked in here.

it's not exactly the biggest show on the road, but it's not small beer either.

I can't see the photos or access your blog at work but in my case, yes.

What did you expect?
The Olympia Tour is not a cat5 crit and it has nothing to do with 20' intervals.
Want to predict which year Rabo will bring Tejay out of AAA?

Theo is 3 for 3
today's stage was a stone's throw from amsterdam.

hardly a surprise that bos won. they're f.l.a.t. :D

I don't feel that I can add anything substantive to this thread, but I am appreciative.

Tejay won the final stage and ended 3rd overall, with one of his Rabo Conti teammates winning the overall.
He's coming off a big win two weeks ago at another stage race, so things are really rolling right now.
You'll notice another USA rider Caleb Fairly got 2nd on the stage and 6th overall.
btw for all you Lance chasers, The Olympia's Tour is a real race .
