United Kingdom - UK Sportives - anyone doing any of these...?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Polka Dot Gran Fondo (http://www.polkadotchallenge.co.uk/) in Derbyshire
White Rose Challenge (http://www.whiterosechallenge.co.uk/) in Yorkshire or
Wild Wales Challenge (http://www.vcmelyd.co.uk/node/829) in mid / North Wales?
Let's see if we can get a BF picture on the day if so - there seems to be a lack of BF-ers in the UK who meet up, which is a real shame I reckon.
Discuss.

Shameless reply to my own thread.
Due to inclement weather and impending (i.e. two days after the event) final exams, I decided not to do the Polka Dot ride this year.
However, today I did the 133km route at the White Rose Challenge. Vital statistics as follows:
Ride Time: 5 hours 40 mins
Distance: 87 miles
Average Speed: 15.1 mph
Outcome: very sore lower back at times from all the short sharp climbs but other than that, I felt pretty good.
That is all for now. I'll post pics when I can.

Results of Wild Wales Challenge 2009:
Ride Time: 7 hours 27 mins
Distance: 94 miles
Average Speed: 12.5mph
Outcome: best performance on a sportive for me: good energy levels throughout and much less back pain than ever before. Strong climbing performace for me.
The weather was terrible and the lanes were very greasy but I had an awesome day in the saddle. Sign up for the 2010 one if you like 'em tough. :thumb:

I will be arriving in London on Sat 5 Sep, but I dont think I will be doing any longer rides than going to school with my 6 yr old grand-daughter in Chiselhurst.
