I know, public forum, private life, yadayada. But here's the deal: The wifes libido has gone into freaking hyperdrive. Anyone who finds this subject material offensive leave now.

When the alarm goes off, she's asking/offering. When she picks me up from work, when we go to bed, she's asking/offering. It's been going on for about 3 months now, and I'm starting to get worn out. I'm not sure if there is something going on in her head that I should be concerned about. Or if I should just HTFU, alter my diet a little, and continue helping with her erotic exercise weight loss plan;). People have been making comments that she looks like she is losing weight :D. But it just might be those vampire romance novels she's been listening to...

yeah - need more info; could be a hormonal change.....drug use (prescription/recreational/otherwise)?

I think you're safe, physically speaking, though some animals like rats have been known to fork themselves to death.

Is she going through "the change"?

Quite possible, even though she's kinda young (36, she *matured* early). Married twice and birthed 5 children (16-5). She has been dropping some serious hints about wanting something "fun" to drive. 1965-67 Mustang, 1984 Firebird, a Jeep Cherokee, '76 Corvette Stingray (preferably the Silver Edition?)... And she wants a VW Thing, because it's cute.

It may sound funny to some but having been there... it isn't.

This was when I was in my twenties and I could go at it pretty much 24/7... but this girl wanted there to be 26 hours in the day.

I know...no sympathy.

Did I mention she was hot in a young Sophia Loren kind of way ?

It was fun for a while... but we had to break up.

Because she could not cook pasta.

no1mad - If this is wildly unusual behaviour you really need to have a serious talk with your wife as it seem to be detrimental to your well being, for as strange as that may sound.

Tubes are tied. She wants the whole works yanked.

What's your address?
Said I was getting worn out, not asking for a substitute.

Don't know about nationally, but the local CL has removed that section.

So buy her one of these and earn yourself a well-deserved break, you poor thing. :notamused:

Too bad you can't give her a car a part at a time, to slacken the rutting pace without it going away altogether.

Most women experience an increase in their sex drive in their mid-thirties, this sounds pretty normal. It's how the whole cougar/cougar hunter thing works so well. Women hits her thirties unmarried or divorced, sex drive is in overdrive (regardless of the "biological clock" status), so they hit up the bars for some naive 21-something with a matching sex drive.

Actually, this reminds me of a 'Married...With Children' episode. The one where Al decided to get back into shape and gave Peg what she wanted until she couldn't take it anymore.

I might be needing some Nomex and B-12 if this keeps up too much longer. Especially when I taking classes again.

Dearly beloved, we are gathered here to remember no1mad who was above all things, a truly devoted husband who could not deny his wife anything which quite sadly... killed him.

At least he died happy.

Have you discussed the subject with her yet? She might have an explanation for you, or, she may just want a fun car:-) I've been there brother, and if you don't find an mutually agreeable solution it can end a relationship. Talk to her, it's always my first course of action.

I've brought it up. I was a little hesitant because prior to this increased activity, I could count the average annual activity on one hand since my son was born.

I don't think that it will be a serious relationship breaker. But she has been reading/listening to a bunch of romance type novels lately.

The whole wanting a fun car thing is unattainable at the moment (and so is my LHT).

Your situation could be worse, it could suddenly stop. Then you would have a life like most married men.

Enjoy it while you can.

I don't think that has anything to do with the sex, and you should probably see a doctor about it ...

OP...

Don't work harder, work smarter!

I can think of a dozen techniques that are less tiring for you that will still get the desired results for Her Ladyship.

Do some research. Have some fun!

You have several options.

Make us proud and give it all you've got until you cannot even type on this lousy boards for a while.

Tell her to go to the Doc with you. Complain that you have no sex drive. The Doc may give you testosterone (if yours is low) and she'll be the one asking to give it a rest.

Buy her something that plugs into the wall and starts with the letter 'V.' No, not Vacuum ... well, maybe that too. She could either get pissed and leave you alone. Or find that this new vacuum is so awesome she will be preoccupied.

Prime yourself before the act. Then when it's time to go, you'll be done before she starts. Tell her you though it was a race and you finished first.

People, people.........So close!

Been there, done that. Had the same problem with my wife when she turned thirty. Thought it was a case of the "dirty thirties" as well.I thought things were great!! Until the crash happened.

Manic/depressed = bipolar

In all seriousness your wife would benefit from a check in this area. If she's NOT bipolar then........

STFU and H(arden)TFU....lol

Wait a minute...30's?!?!? I thought it was supposed to occur in their 40's! And all this time I've been patiently biding my time waiting until my wife came of age! I've been bamboozled!
