I am in the development stages of laying out an ATB route across North Georgia from Alabama to South Carolina. It is, both, low traffic paved roads, as well as, Improved" Forest Service roads. If you would like for me to keep you abreast of the progress send me your email.

Thanks to all of you who have sent me your emails.... I will be emailing you directly with greater detail over the weekend and asking you for your thoughts.
In summary, FANG runs between Menlo (at AL) and Tallulah Gorge/Tugaloo Lake (at SC)..... there will be an optional spur south of this point on the SC border so that one can get across the river to hook up with the SC routes/trails that ultimately make it to the SC coast at Charleston (e.g., The Francis Marion Trail and related extensions leading from it.)

I have now driven a large enough portion of the route with many, many variations, and I am unable to find a way to get from border to border without being on very high traffic roadways in at least 3 stretches. Because of this I intend to stop any further work on this project/fyi. Thanks to those of you who have expressed interest.... I will be sending a copy/paste of this message to each of you who sent me your off line email.
Fred.
