Excellent rims! In fact, when I got my Schmidt Dynamo hub, I had it laced up to a stock rim and love the setup.

If you are referring to Alex Adventurer rims...they are just fine. I've only had my LHT for a few weeks, but I've been abusing those rims on my singlespeed MTB for quite some time...no problems so far. Its really had to justify buying $60-$80 brand name rims when a $24 Alex rim works just as well.

Edit: If you are looking at buying a stock LHT, more important that the rim itself, is the quality of the build. The wheels on my stock LHT were OK, but spoke tension was a little low, uneven, and the rear wheel wasn't very true. I spent some time working on them, and now they are as nice as any pair of handbuilts.

The LBS tells me that LHT wheels are the best of all the bikes they carry, in terms of attention they need out of the box before selling, and how often they come back for attention after they sell.
