i would like to upgrade my main road bike next year and i have been looking at different frames and this caught my eye. has anyone ridden one of these (or any of their road bikes)? while i was set on getting a custom frame from a local builder (land shark, desalvo, wolfhound) i keep coming back to that dean.

If you keep going back to the Dean, maybe that's the bike for you. The vast majority of us do not need a custom frame. If you go that route you are paying for personal service. There is nothing wrong with that because you should end up with a bike that fits you like a glove. As long as the bike fits you, go where your heart takes you!
