Hi guys! Someone stole my QR at work today, and unfortunately a regular 100mm QR is too long! If it was threaded a little more it would be OK, but has anyone else experienced this problem?

Cheers.

Find someone with an M5x.8 threading die to extend the threads for you. Any well equipped bike shop should have one.
What kind of hub do you have that is only 80mm? I've seen narrow front hubs with threaded axles, but I don't recall seeing one with QR.

It's a Dahon folding bike with little 16" wheels. The hub is really tiny. I went to a few bike shops today and none of them could help me. Surely Dahon must make a shorter QR?

dahon has 74mm OLD front hubs, you should be able to get one from your local dahon dealer.

I wonder why anyone would bother stealing that QR, it only works on dahon wheels.

Dumb move by a dumb thief. Idiocy shouldn't be a surprise to anybody.
