Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - what's the best way to get a thread locked?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I was going to report my own post, then I though better of it.
I think this is lockable since it has no redeeming value and I would be happy
never to see it again:

I don't think there is anything wrong with my post, I just would like the thread to be locked since it was a trollish thread in the first place, and then it went downhill from there. I assume some troll will dig it up in the future unless it is locked.

It's a reasonable question, but it appears to be one of those religious war kind of deals. People with any sense at all in their heads realize that a bike is best when ridden, and collector types will froth at the mouth if any changes are made to the original spec.

The best way to get it locked is to click on report post to moderator then type in your reasoning. Reporting a post will send it to an area where all the mods will have access to review it and discuss what action to take.
