Foo - Ordering Blank Checks...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good, economical place to go to order blank checks?
And yeah, yeah, I know.... who uses checks anymore? I do. Sometimes. But it's taken me quite a while to go through the couple of books I have in hand.
Help me out!

You can't order them through your bank? I was given a couple hundred when I joined my credit union.

They are expensive through the bank. Even the plain jane ones. Looking for more bang for the buck.

I think almost everybody has at least a few places they must still use "real checks" for. Not many, but a few.
I just did a google on "order checks" and a bazillion and a half places came up. I'm sure one will be nice and cheap.

Thanks, chief.
I requested recommendations, not a lesson in how to put two words in a search engine.

How much do checks cost at your bank?
I use carbon-backed, plain green ones and they were $15 for a box of 500.

The site they redirect me to wants $20 for 150 single checks. I like my bank and all, but that's not very cheap.
I'm just looking to see if anyone has ordered checks from an outside vendor and if they could recommend.

I have used checksinthemail.com and haven't had any problems with them.

300 checks for $8.95 (http://www.artisticchecks.com/shop/product.aspx?ProductID=01PCHK(Base)&CategoryName=&SubcategoryName=CKSTD-AC(Base)&CategoryCode=), first google link that KT mentioned. Sorry you felt the need to be snippy about his two cents.
It was nearly quicker googling this than it was writing about it.
The 97the Cyrus Lowe is snippy with everyone. If he was nice, Crackerjab would have to wear pants.
I always see ads for check printing in the "magazine" current events thing in the comic section of the Sunday paper. You can get them with puppies, or eagles, or you own pic. If you want, you can use my delicious bass pic cyclowe.

i get emails from a nice man in nigeria with all sorts of financial proposals and prize winnings. i'm sure he can get you anything you want as long as you give him all details of your bank account.

Last time I ordered checks I did so at
http://www.123checksonline.com/
but that website is currently down, so that's not much of a tip.
^ I used that and it was cheap - forgot the prices, but I did shop around.

For the record I didn't mean it to be a "google it dip stick" post....I just figured you hadn't thought of that and there were tons of links. It WAS meant to be helpful. There have been tons of posts in the past of people who asked some question like that, somebody googles it and tells them and they say, "Oh....crap! I don't know why that didn't occur to me."

I'm not those people. ;)
Thanks for the hints, everyone. To those who have been helpful, I will be sending each of you a check. It will be postdated, third party, and unless you live nearby, out of state. Good luck cashing it.

I will have no problem cashing mine, as it will have a picture of me and my bass on it.

It's a BassterCard.
I am usually more closely associated with a word that sounds very similar to Basster.

Because people in this thread know that sofas are where it's at.
I have always associated Cylowe97 with Sofa King.
