Looking for a used set or new old stock. A LBS is offering me a lightly used late 90s kit (wheels, but no headset/bars or seatpost/seat) for 650.00 and I think this is too high a price. Any suggestions? I really don't want to go piece by piece on ebay, but I will if I must. Thanks for your help.

considering that a 2004 chorus group with hubs and headset can probably be had for close to $1100 if you shop around, i'd say that an old, used group, even with wheels, is a bit over-priced at $650.

Thanks for the info. I, too, think $650 is too steep, but have not yet began the haggle process. If anyone else has reference links, keep 'em coming!

I bought a Chorus group with Record triple crank upgrade two years ago. Current price for Chorus group with alum. cranset is $950, another $300 if you want the *sigh* carbon crank. Headset but no hubs at that price.

Also bought a set of Campy Zonda wheels from cbike for $350 - they put them on sale every so often. Love the Zondas - aero but a smooth ride, and they sure do look sharp.

I had good dealings with cbike, and also branford bike. Branford stocks a removeable link for Campy 10 chain. A lot better than the one time use pin.

BTW: the Chorus group has been trouble free in two years of riding. An excellent choice. Only time I've had to adjust cables is when changing wheels.
