I've got a 105 crankset with octalink v1 bb, and I have a creak!
I've pulled the crank, cleaned & re-greased the splines, cleaned the threads & applied loc-tight, I used a torque wrench, cinched it up to 35ft/lbs and voila, it still creaks!! UGH!!
when I first heard the creak, I re torqued the bolts, a week later I heard it again, I checked the torque, pulled the cranks cleaned the splines and rotated 90 degrees. (I did notice that somone had greased the crank bolts, seems like a no-no to me)
Anyone have a reasonable idea as to how I should go about working this out?

Thanks,

Scoob

Have you tried doing the same thing to your bottom bracket? Don't use Loctite, rather grease the bottom bracket shell threads and use teflon tape on the bottom bracket threads, then torque to proper specs. Greasing crankbolts is O.K.

You also might check your chainring bolts and your pedals. Sometimes creaking can be elusive.
