You were listening, really?

I'm beginning to think Carrie will eventually be considered as the greatest country female singer of all-time.

Great voice.

C'mon, get the white bread outta your ears. Look for the acepella version of Whitney singing "I Wanna Dance With Someone". Listening to it brings tears of joy to my eyes. It is one of only 3 12" vinyl singles that I ever bought. EDIT: Vocal is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEzTMpjPB7Y

Or any other song sung by Whitney. Even a country song like Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" when sung by Whitney is at a whole new level. Better yet look for the Hex Hector 1999 9 minute 51 second remix of the song.

Double bonus: even the Star Spangled Banner never sounded better or with more emotion than when sung by Whitney at the 1991 Super Bowl.

Triple bonus: high concept video with powerhouse vocals on Its Not Right But Its OK -

Her voice is amazing, she is a great artist. I am not huge fan of Country but I kinda like her music.

I also love Whitney! One of the greatest singers of all times :) To bad she met Bobby Brown...

+1,..... it's a reminder that talent and greatness and can be thrown away,... Whitney certainly lost hers.

Let us pray she will make it back from the abyss, unlike Jimi Hendrix or John Belushi.

In the meantime I will be thinking of her comeback Step by Step.

Nice... but there's nothing there that makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck.

Of course... I have been on a Billie Holiday kick of late and that can spoil a man for other things.

Wow, that brought tears to these eyes of mine. I can't listen to stuff like that without sniffling.

So I made the comment that Carrie might end up at the all-time Queen of country music before everything was said and done.

I'm thinking she might have some competition in Taylor Swift (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ygr0Yri1N_E&NR=1).

or at least Taylor is a Princess. These ladies are very talented.

Yes, past love that went horribly awry and I regret terribly that it ended. :(

Yes you chose a good one. :)
