Hello, I am gathering maps together for an upcoming summer tour. I have contacted the states DOT's and have received maps from Montana, Oregon, and Idaho, still waiting on Washington. I tried looking around on the Ministry of Transportation websites for Alberta and BC but could not find a place to get a map. Anyone know of a good source for a free map? Did I miss it on the website?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Canada only has one road running through it... and you just have to watch for the moose crossings.

Seriously...

Travel Alberta might be able to help.

Go to your local AAA (American Automobile Association) and ask them for maps.

I find going through each province's tourism websites and ordering information packages pretty helpful. They may be full of ads but they usually provide a wealth of information.

A few years ago I compiled a list of resources and journal links for cycling across Canada. Hopefully the links still work. Back in 2004/2005 I was able to have free maps sent to me for all 10 provinces, and while cycling across Canada I was able to get a fresh copy at the tourist infomation centre that could be found on most of the main routes> A couple of the tourist centres did charge a small fee for the map (2$). We'll getting your maps sent to you, you can also sign up for camping guides.
