This is our latest ride, it will head out on it's first tour in a few weeks. It's a Organic Engines, Troika trike

Nice Ride, I was looking at something like that, is it comfy? Do you feel it's worth it or do you feel other tandems are better? Can you get some good miles before felling sore or worn out? I have a Tsunami Mtb tandem, I have road slicks on it right now because I just recenltly broke my ribs at a race. Not on the Tandem.

awesome. Is the turning radius like the one of an 18 wheeler?
Have fun with it.

Looks great! Reminds us of one of the Aussie trike tandems we've seen.
Bet it 'screams' on the downhills! How is it climbing?

It a great bike so far.

Climbing- Well its slow, but I built it up as a touring bike, I dont care if we can go fast up hills just as long as we can climb the hills. Crusing speed on the flats is 15 to 17 mph, but getting faster. Downhills are a scream! Jan sceaming for me to slowdown.... :) We took it to Cape Cod yesterday and had a nice 60 mile ride. Nothing hurts if you don't count the sunburn. We would have ridden longer but a stick got cought in the rear der and bent it all out of wack, so we cut the ride short.

Turning- Its a long bike and dose have a big turning circle. But like driving a truck you get used to it and plan your turns.

Comfy- Yes.

Worth it- Yes. The Greenspeed and Logo trikes cost almost twice ($6000 to $8000) what this bike costs ($4500) by the time you get them into the US. (set up the same) The frame on the Troika is offered with a take apart option. I drive a small car and can put the bike inside or on top of the car. When going on tour I have often shipped my bike ahead of time, so having a take apart frame is a must with a bike of this size.

Glad you are enjoying the Troika! Sounds like a great shake-down cruise; sorry to hear 'bout the stick in the derailleur.
Agreed the Greenspeed is similar but after import/shipping costs, the price is really 'up' there! Take-a-part for travel is ideal and well worth the extra $$ if you do some traveling by plane and then end up with a small rent-a-car; or ship the bike ahead.
Ejoy, and like we say in Tucson . . . use that sunscreen! Our temps are already in the hi-90s so we ride earlier in the morning.

Here is a photo of my KHS Milano and a photo of the bike, a very good stoker and myself.

Maybe she's in the witness protection program. :D

Looks to me like she's a rather attractive young lady. Perhaps galen is worried one of us will go out trolling for stokers and snag her right up, what?

Well.... I have no claim to her, she is a free and single female so take your best shot...!

Well, since you both live on the other side of the country from me, I'll have to leave the opportunity to some other tandem captain...
