Wow, these things look awesome. I mean, the most important thing by far is that they fit sooooo much better than my previous ones, but the bling definitely helps. It looks like bolting a fighter jet to the front of your bike.

Functionally, I really like the adjustability, and the pads are super comfy. Just an awesome bar.

Yeah, I wanted to wait to make sure I knew exactly what length stem I'd need before I plunked down the $$$ for the Zipp stem. It's gorgeous, though, and I do plan to put one on eventually.

As for the wheels, I had a pair of Blackwell 100's that I sold to buy my daughter's running stroller/bike trailer, but now I'm eyeing a pair of Zipps as a graduation present to myself. I'm undecided between the 808 Clydesdale and the 1080, so I'm renting both for some races this season, and I'll reach a verdict at some point. Definitely going for a 900 disc at some point. For now, the setup for lower-priority races is the Reynolds with a wheelbuilder.com disc cover in the back.

I love the way it rides--my only gripe was that I couldn't quite get comfortable on the old aerobars (Oval Concepts) but that problem has been taken care of in a nice way. :)

nice thats pretty sweet.i looked at some blackwell 100's but since they are no longer around i decided otherwise...i wanted a warranty and such. 1080 up front is absurd. I saw one at the last race i did, 1080 front and back, and i dont see how someone could ride it up front. Now granted i only weight 135 so i'd be hesitant about an 808 up front too. 808 and 900 disc would be amazing.

At my weight, the Blackwell 100's were very manageable in crosswinds, so I'm not really worried about that. The 1080's have been very favorably reviewed by folks who have used them up front too. My big issue is that I've come to like very laterally stiff wheels, and the 808 clydesdale has 24 spokes front and rear vs. 16/20 for the 1080.

Whether it's a noticeable difference I don't know, so gotta ride them a couple times.
