According to the SIGMA website (http://www.sigmasport.com/us/produkte/bikecomputer/topline_wired/bc1606l/):

"Cadence for BC 1606L - A cable-connected cadence sensor is available as an optional extra for the BC 1606L."

So, is the cadence sensor in the package or not?

If not, how do I get it?

Thanks!

It's not included, I got mine cheap on ebay.

Works splendidly too :thumb:

Unlike my mate's wireless cadence pickup.......

It's interesting. The wireless unit has very bad reviews -- click here (http://www.amazon.com/BC1606L-CADENCE-Wireless-Bicycle-Speedometer/product-reviews/B000MRBPEG/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1) to see what I mean. All about design. I'm not sure if anything from what they say there also applies to the wired unit.

The cadence sensor came with my BC 1606L.

The box the rascal came in even has "Double Wireless Speed & Cadence" printed
on the box.

Jerry,
wired or wireless?
I understand that some wireless packages have the cadence included, while the wired offer the cadence sensor as an optional extra (click here (http://www.sigmasport.com/us/produkte/bikecomputer/topline_wired/bc1606l/?gesamt=1&position=0)).

You can't really go wrong with a BC1606L, just follow the fitting instructions.

:)

The cadence pick up plugs into the mount and is very easy to fit.

TBH you'd have to try very hard to get the wired pick up caught in your spokes and even if it did it would be very unlikely to damage anything.

The wireless pick up is a lot larger, so I can't vouch for that.

Also you can buy a separate mount to put on your second bike - the BC1606L stores the data for each bike separately.

Both functions are wireless. The box is actually labeled as 'BC 1606L DTS'.

My lbs had it priced at $79.95
