Is there any way to turn a suspension fork into a rigid fork? Came into an older bike, hate the suspension (roadie from a long way back) and was was wondering if I could somehow lock out the suspension. I'm not worried about ever having it work again, I just don't want it to bounce around anymore.

If you do, try to get a suspension corrected fork. The Kona P2 at bikeman is dirt cheap. I have one, and its funky looking, but corrected for 100mm suspension, and was like 25$

Haven't put it on the bike yet. It was for my old Mamba GF was riding, but that frame a tad to big for her. Waiting for the Voodoo to get delivered. And then I have to get it built up, got her a X.9 drivetrain build kit for dirt at greenfish. She wanted gears *cringe*

Bushing failure will make a suspension fork rigid in no time. Start huckin' that puppy . . . .

I made my fork rigid by riding it into saltwater.. then letting it sit for 5 days.. worked great! Even got a bonus of a rigid chain and crank and headset.
