Great ride today, with a few new faces. Easy pace over a chilly bridge.

Really a fun ride today Pete. Thanks for setting it up and leading it. Days like today feel like when you are 12 years old and some friends come by to see if "hey you wanna go ride bikes?"

No matter how fast I get or how far I can go, I will always need and love days like today with my friends, just riding bikes.

Julie really appreciates the warm welcome and the support everyone gave her today. A reception like the one she got today has encouraged her to keep showing up and keep on riding.

Bonus Side Trip: Julie and I stopped in Sausalito and visited her sister's Beau who owns Scrimshaw Gallery (http://www.scrimshawgallery.com/)on Princess St. and then we swung by her sister's place. Yes, her sister is lucky enough to live in Sausalito. Her third floor walk up has a wrap around deck and jaw dropping views of the water. In fact we all passed her building at one point on the ride today.

The chillier temps must have been a really nice change from last weekend.

Interesting note on the Davis jersey ... great design, but only one flaw ... it has a mountain bike tire.

I wasn't expecting the chilly weather, but once we were moving it was all good. Looking forward to doing it again soon.

I like the jersey too, and noticed that. I also realized it's a tandem (extra downtube - presumably a "double) so maybe it's just a beefier front tire!

The actual bike was parked just outside the Veterans building and we got to talk to the shirt designer.

My friend that came with us was Nick.

Also as promised here is a "proof of bike" I.E. a photo of my new old bike. With the Friday New York times so that you can see that it is not some old shot.

Great ride, even with the wrong turn and extra 5 miles or so that I rode.
