Who else rides the trails at Arbor Hills in Plano? I paid my first visit there yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised to find they had a "real" wooded trail, which is my favorite kind of riding. I was expecting more concrete MUTs like all the green belts close to the house.

AHNP is around 6 miles from home so it's a fairly easy ride to make just to get there. However, I'm kinda loaded down with back pack, seat pack, and multiple bottles of water for a road trip. If I had known AHNP had those kinds of trails I probably would have changed out the road tires for the knobbies and thrown the bike in the truck and drove there.

Still had an awesome ride, especially since I left the woods bleeding from a couple of places. :)

glad you enjoyed it. check the DORBA site for other trails - Erwin Park and Rowlett Creek are 2 of my local favorites.

Thanks for the link! I think Cedar Hill is next on the list to visit.

I was out at Arbor Hills yesterday for my club's Annual Memorial Day ride. However it was a road ride and we left from AH for points across the metroplex (my ride rode to DFW airport and back). It's been a while since I've had a dirty worthy machine, but I may buy a set of knobbies for my Schwinn Crosscut and see if that bike has what it takes for AH.
