Hey is anybody aware of any bicycle friendly routes from southcentral Pennsylvania to Ocean City, MD?
A quick search found a route on mapmyride.com (http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-states/md/ocean-city/161123790610994716) that might work. Can't offer any 1st or 2nd-hand advice about it. Good luck!

I plan on riding this with a friend on 4th of July.
You could tweak it for a PA start.

Are you east or west of the Susquehanna River? If you are west, I'd recommend crossing before entering MD. If I remember correctly, the Conowingo Dam (US Rt. 1) will porter you across, but you might have to wait a considerable time. I-95 won't allow bikes, and I doubt that US Rt. 40 does as well. I grew up near there in MD, but have lived away for a long time, so things could change. If you can, I'd start the trip east of the river if you are any place south of Harrisburg. Have someone drop you off on the east side.

Actually, you can cross the Susquehanna at the Conowingo Dam with no assistance. Also, you can cross over further north at Holtwood Rd and even further north at Wrightsville. None of these require assistance.
The Hatem Bridge on Route 40 does not allow bicycles, but you can contact Biller's Bikes in Havre de Grace, and for a small fee, they will carry you across the Hatem Bridge.

Hey thanks for your helpful response to my thread.
I wanted to ask you how your 4th of July trip to OC, Maryland went. Was it a pretty smooth ride? Is there anything in particular that I should look out for along the way?
