im looking to buy campy pedals off of ebay. do campy pedals (esp record superleggeri) stand apart from other pedals to justify 60-70 dollars? what do u guys think of suntour pedals? when u ride on them, is it that noticeable?

i have suntour superbe pedals with christophé toe clips on my peugeot. they look very similar to the campagnolo ones. i got them for cheap off of ebay. they work great for cage pedals. very smooth and light. though campagnolo is known for superb bearing smoothness, i don't know if i would drop 60 to 70 smackers for cage pedals... but that's just me. i prefer clipless anyways.

I have three sets of Croce D' Aune campy pedals which are like the ones you are looking at except that the cages are not replaceable on the ones that I have. Not that you could get any cages anyway even if you wanted to replace them. They have a very smooth set of bearings and they have a lube point at the bottom which is very handy for shooting grease into them and not having to completely disassemble them to service them. I wish they were still made as they were some of the best peddles ever made.
