Hello!

I'm looking around for a bike to commute on, not too far, about 15-20 mile round trip daily. I found this bike on craigslist, and I wanted to see if any of you have any advice on whether it's worth it or not. I would just go see it for myself and decide, but its a 50 minute drive (with no traffic) from where I live, so if it's a crap bike I would rather just know from the start than find out when I get there. Let me know what you think!

Thanks!

Basic crap bike. If you love Schwinns, then go for it. If you are looking for something good, keep looking.

They are kind of fun to look at it and built like a tank (and weigh like one too). I am fixing up a Varsity myself right now just for the heck of it. But I only paid $14 for it.

Decent road bikes are easy to spot: alloy rims, alloy crank set, down tube shifters, no turkey levers, cromoly frame. This bike meets none of that criteria.
