Anyone know where I can find a decent 1" threadless carbon canti fork? For under $250? I saw that Universal Cycles had a Winwood Dusty in that price range, but they're out of stock in the 1" size.

i don't know about the canti post fork, but GET A NON-CARBON STEERER. i had a 1" full carbon fork on my road bike, and the flex in the steerer tube made me adjust the headset every other ride.

also, the nashbar fork IS the winwood cx fork, just cheaper and no decals. seems ok, a bit on the heavy side, but should be a solid, dependable fork.
most of the forks are either low end, or high end ($350+). the winwood seems to fill a void. i have researched it to put it on my new bike, and haven't found any reviews of them breaking. a few reviews reporting some shudder, but its reported on even the best forks. i don't think you could go wrong with it.

Thanks. I was thinking about the Nashbar too, and it's interesting to hear that it's the same as the Winwood. Unfortunately when I checked their site it appears they only have the 1 1/8" in stock.
I believe it has a non-carbon steering stem.

Well, whaddya know? I called Nashbar and they DO have the 1" -- it's just not showing up on their site. With a 20% off coupon (SAVEBIG) good through the 28th, I got it for just under $130, shipping included.

let me know how that fork works out for you, and what your overall setup is. it is still at the top of my list for carbon forks- if i don't go with a custom steel one to match the bike...

Will do. Should get it next week. I have a Fondriest aluminum frame with (right now) a steel fork.
