Jax has them 5 for $20 all the time. How much more bulk do you need?

Prefer Conti and Bonti? Conti's can be expensive and s'posed to be great. Bonti's are stock junk!:p

Why prefer two different grades? I can see Conti - Vitorrio, but Bonti!:p

FTR, I use cheap arse tubes. It's the engine!:D

I know lol its the engine but Id rather not get a flat. michelin and conti gave me flat free after 2k miles.
Ithought bonti was nice. Ill stick to your words

Aahh! I was just curious!:D........ I use Bonti with no problem. I was thinking most bikesnobs won't touch Bonti.:p I myself use cheapo tubes with better luck than the good lite thin stuff. I pick up tubes at Sport Chalet too. They are about $3 and work better for me as the walls are thicker and less likely to flat under my weight.:D...I think they are Inline or Cyclesport.

Wholesale distributors sell tubes in quantities of 50. Check with your local bike shop and see if they'll make you a deal on a quan. of 50. They do get a better price when they buy from their distributors in quan. of 50 tubes (all the same size / spec. of course).

I buy in 50's and a case of 50 will usually last my wife and I about three years. Your milage may vary.

Rick,
Do tubes have a "self life"? Is there a degradation of the rubber over time....

Don't any of you patch tubes?

Hi sojourn,

I guess, in theory, everything has a "shelf life." I've never had a problem with tubes, and there's no "sell by" dates on them, so my feeling is: No worries!

Now, that said, if (for example) you found some old tubes in a dark corner of a bike shop from the 1920's and tried to use them . . . yes, they could be a problem!

Amen to that! In fact I ride on tubes with multiple patches with no problems.
