Anyone happen to have maps / garmin data for the century ride? I'm going for the deuce!

Also, any reccomendations on budget priced hotels near the start?

I can't help you on the motels. Bring a lawn chair and watch the races after the ride. The ride maps are posted on http://www.bikely.com/ just do a search for Tulsa Tough.

Well, I did the Deuce, but after Saturday's time there was no pressure to go under 5 hrs on Sunday. It was a good thing too, because I would have blown up for sure trying to get under 5 hrs on Sunday. Those were two tough courses. I rode the Saturday course the year before and just missed the 5 hr cutoff, but this year I suffered from cramps and just plain ol hurting. A lot of people I talked to had an unusual amount of cramping on Sat. Unofficially, 12 people qualified for the "Deuce Jersey by finishing both days in under 5 hours. They deserve major props. The racing was great by the way. This is a terrific three day event.

I unfortunately didn't make it to Saturday. Thursday I started throwing up like mad. Took off work Friday and drove what was supposed to be the 4 hours turned 7 to Tulsa. Got in at 1am. Between the two, I still felt too horrible to ride. Sunday I was still gagging when my heart rate pushed up, but I toed the line anyway. I was well ahead of the time even with all that and then my tire starts deforming and bulging. I stopped 50 miles in just for safety. When I get home I find there to now be a manufacturer's recall. I can't win for losing, it seems.

But I will be back next year. What a GREAT ride and a great town to boot. I was amazed at how nice Tulsa is - I never would have imagined.
