I enjoyed the century (imperial) at the Tour de Grand last year. I will likely be doing the same ride this year, on a fixed gear bike this time! I will have a backup freewheel on the other side of the hub, and depending on how I'm feeling the day before, may have pursuit bars with aerobars attached. I'll be bringing lights as well. :D

See you there.

I'll be riding a blue Orbea. Maybe I'll see you there. If not, have a good ride!

Just an update on the Cambridge Cycling Club. Apparently there was not enough interest. Therefore the club has been cancelled. Too bad, there are a lot of cyclists in the area.

Thanks for the offer. Actually we have 3 LBS's in town that all run their own group rides. I was hoping that Cambridge would be able to support a non-store based club.

You need to get the waterloo cycling club to open a Cambridge chapter.......

That’s to bad this didn't catch on. When I ride alone I like to book it and challenge myself. When my wife and I go out together it is more of an easy pace stopping and enjoying the sites. We are always looking for people to ride with that are local. We ride rail trails and really enjoy the Niagara Trail System. Once in a while we bring our trailer and spend a weekend camping taking day trips and other times we just load them in the truck and just go for the day. We always make sure we end the trip with a stop for ice cream. Wine tours around Niagara = a great day on the bikes. If anyone hears of something local to Guelph or the surrounding area pleae send me a message.

Thanks...Steve

I've considered doing a wine tour. How many wineries do you end up going to? How long is a typical ride? I'd like to take my wife, but she probably would balk at it if it was longer than 40 km's.

Hi Alf. You can hit 5 or more in a day and be well below 40 km. Take your time and stop for lunch at one of the wineries.
