Hey everyone!! I've had my Giant OCR2 for about a month now and I've been really into the sport of cycling for almost a year now. Here's my thing that i want: I want someone with experience who i can train with and train under. I want to learn everything there is to learn about cycling: best training methods, maintenance, repairs, terms, tricks, etc....I want to make this more than just a go out, ride 15 miles and come home type of thing. I want to train and i want to ride in tours and charity rides and get some friends in this sport. I live in a city called Norwalk in So Cal which is off the 605 and close to long beach...I'm available weekends and afternoons. Even an email type of thing would be great but I'd prefer someone i can ride with who will teach me everything I need to know. I had a good friend of mine who used to ride all the time and was really good but unfortunately he moved out of the state so i won't be able to ride or train with. Let me know if you can help...thanks everyone!!

Definatley join a club. You will find all level of abilities. Also go watch some local crits. Learn some solid bike handling skills and do group rides.

Do you have a way to travel with your bike?
If you do try some of the local trails and you'll meet lots of ppl to ride with.

Definitely join a club, though.
