"The 33"-Road Bike Racing - national qualifying

Hey all,

i was looking on the USCF's web site and can't find anywhere the criteria needed to qualify for Nationals (Road Race and TT's). I went over to the Tri page and found theirs in seconds. Ugh, can someone point me to a link that's got the criteria for various ages? Is it number of places deep and various qualifiers or is it time driven etc?

Looking for specifics here.

Individual Time Trials are open to ALL categories – men’s categories 1-5 and women’s
categories 1-4.

3. ROAD RACE RULES:
The Junior 10-14 men’s and Junior 10-18 women’s road races are open to ALL
categories
The Junior 15-18 men’s road races are restricted to category 1-3 participants
only
The U23 men’s road race is restricted to category 1-2 participants only
The Elite women’s road race (including U23 women) is restricted to category
1-2 participants only
The Elite men’s road race is restricted to category 1 participants only

3. ROAD RACE RULES: For master men’s age groups 30-54, riders MUST be road
category-3 or higher. For age groups 55 and above, there are no category
requirements.

For master women’s age groups 30-44, riders MUST be road category-3 or higher.
For age groups 45 and above, there are no category requirements.

Thanks efficiency. So if I read the rules right, there is no mention of "qualifying" anywhere. It sounds like if you hold a USCF license and feel like giving it a whirl, anyone is welcome to do so. Did I read that correctly? No qualification needed?

Well...qualifying only insomuch as you have to have the right category license. If you can make it to cat 1 to enter the Elite men's road race, I'd say you're qualified. :D

Read the section for RR's again. There is no qualifying per se but you have to be a certain CAT.

What age and in what CAT do you race?

Ahh I see. I'm 30-34 this year, 35+ next year.

So for racing the RR you basically need to be Cat 3 or better but for the TT you can be Cat 1-5.
