"The 33"-Road Bike Racing - Power Pros. Can you break down these numbers?

I am going to edit this due to I posted numbers without permission. Many people take these numbers seriously and I don't want to cause any issues. I appoloize if I caused any issues.
Everyone knows that Shane is fast and I am sure his numbers will just get better. Good luck.
I would guess FTP is probably around 325 watts.

FTP = 336 watts
until he does a longer TT that lasts 60 minutes.

I guess that makes sense. I was trying to make it more difficult by taking the total and trying to go back to a 20min TT and add 5% or so.
Seems pretty spectacular. That would put him at almost 5 watt per Kg, correct?
Couldn't they find an extra 1.3 miles to make it 40k?
Ah yes, that would be Shane... he spanked us pretty good in Ventura and has won several crits out here by soloing away from the field. I feel pretty good that my win in Nevada was against him but my form has dropped and his has increased since then.
He's really strong but not the best road racer. Trevor aka "Ted Ward" beat him in the road race at San Dimas.
Edit: Oh yeah, I spoke with him after Ventura... he has the points to upgrade to a 2 but is waiting until after the state championships road race in two weeks. :notamused:

Yes, he has really stepped up his game. His Cat 5 and early 4 finishes were nothing to write home about and then all of a sudden the kid is cleaning up. My buddy is on his team. Sounds like a good kid and is taking the sport pretty seriously. His time even beat my friend Deven who is 18 and a II. I was suprised they have not moved him to a Cat II already like Deven. I can see Shane is taking advantage of his threshold power.
From my chart his power numbers put him in the middle of the Cat I profile.
Is it Deven or Devan? Anyway, he's a beast too. He showed up at Murietta and cleaned up in the crit, taking all the primes and the win, and when I attacked from the gun in the circuit race, he was at the front of the train pulling me back in. I spoke with him after the race and he said it was his first race in the 4s. At Punchbowl in the 3s he attacked into the wind a few miles from the end and soloed to the win (although my teammate almost caught him), and then at the crit the next day he nearly lapped the field . He seemed to disappear at Ventura though, maybe he coming off form, or he finally found people faster than him :p

That is what I came up with, but due to the fact the total time was less than 60 min that number may be inflated ever so slightly.

Yeah, it is Devan... sorry. Devan Dunn. I raced with him at Calville when he was a 5 and we became friends. He is a really nice kid. I ended up about 50sec back of him in the overall due to my terrible TT.
He took every prime at Ventura and placed 2nd in the crit and won the RR. He is now a II. He just took 4th at the State TT Champs in the 1-2s but his time was almost a min slower than Shane's.
Devan is only 18-19. I think his race age is 19. The kid has some power and is never affraid to just sit in the front of the pack and ride everyone off of his wheel.
Ventura. He was racing in the 1-2s so he has to step up his game. He did well in the TT and placed top 20 in the crit I think, but DNFed the Circuit.

Do not forget that Devan hit some oil and went down hard at Ventura in the prologue and still put in an amazing time. He was fairly bandaged for the crit and maybe that affected his circuit race? I believe he also comes from a background in crew. All of these really strong guys come from some non-bike athletic background like track, crew, etc. Genetics baby and I was left out of that boat : (

For what it's worth, he's posted his power numbers in the past (such as for the Nevada race) on the wattage group.

That's right, I heard that he went down in the prologue, I had forgotten about that.

Maybe. I saw him fairly early in the circuit race and he didn't look too happy...

Yeah, all these guys with athletic backgrounds make life difficult for the ex-couch potatos like me. :p
