This Sunday, May 31st, I'll ride 100k in the American Diabetes Associations Tour de Cure in Long Beach, CA.

I'm doing this to help my sister and others who have this disease. My sister Dani has been a Type 1 diabetic for over 20 years and despite following her doctor's instructions, she still has persistent health issues that are a result of her diabetes. Her struggle is tough. As she gets older, the medical problems seem to get worse. I know this is the same for millions of other diabetics. That's why I'm asking for a donation. Please visit my Tour de Cure page and give what you can. Thanks.

Thanks Drew. I hope your ride went well. I took a look at the Jacksonville route and it looked great.
The day 2 ride along the coast must have been nice. I met my fund raising goal thanks to the generosity of my sponsors.

Here's wishing you safe riding in good health.

Mine was excellent. I too met my goals thanks to some very generous sponsors I had.

This was the 5th anniversary edition of the ride but out of a brand new private school - facilities for hosting the ride were exceptional. While I had heard of a few mishaps, we all received word that nobody had to remain overnight at a hospital, so it wasn't anything all to serious. No doubt that it was not without some serious pain for those involved, but fortunately, I was not amongst any of those that had any type of misfortunes.

Pictures were professionally done and are available online at http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/thumbpage.aspx?e=4765741
For this ride I was rider 82.
