I crashed at The Sister's house the night before last and I was awoken to a "Hey get up, I'm tired of the carpet in the living room and there's hardwood underneath." So what do I do? Help out of course. Talk about a pain in the ass to rip out carpet and all that is entailed. Apparently the staple guy who put down the padding decided to make staple designs in the floor. Seriously. 10 hours of work later and it was done. I can't figure out why they put carpet down over the hardwood anyway. It was ok at first but now it's like a new house. I'm more likely to stay the night there more often instead of the other way around.

We ripped ours out many, many years ago. I will never, ever have carpeting (other than perhaps the odd area rug) in a house where I live.

oooooooo I helped Mom replace two rooms of old carpeting where the cheap pad had dehydrated into dust or it had to be scraped off the floor with a putty knife and the freaking staples were many. However, it was all the nails I put into the old floor to stop the squeaking that was tedious and loud. Not fun.

I like hardwood floors too.

I can't stand hardwood floors. Have had both carpet and hardwood and we have hardwood now. Yuk.

Why were you playing with your sister's carpet in the first place?

I had to fight hard to convince my mom to just polish her tongue in groove oak floors instead of replacing her old crappy WTW carpet with new crappy WTW carpet. I lost lots of skin and blood scraping that nastiness up, and inhaled lots of it in the process:mad:

Not my sister, my bosses sister. I commonly refer to her as The Sister.

Guys and gals can be friends and sleep over at each other's place without sex right?

The Brazilian wax thing? I don't think I could do that simply because I don't want someone putting wax on my chocolate starfish.

You could... But generally if there's nothing else going on, I'd rather crash in my own bed.

I lack female companionship and don't wanna be in a relationship at the moment. It fills that void.
