The other day I fixed the flats on two of my bikes, the XC FS Cake and the AM FS Dawg. I took the Dawg out and did the agressive riding that I always do on the mtbs and it felt hella good. I started to think to myself that I was bad for going the roadie route.
Then I looked over at the Moots and felt guilty so I took THAT one out today. And it felt so smoooooth as butter.....that bike is fitted specially for me.....it has a lot of meaning, that bike. And now I felt guilty for thinking I was regretting going away from the mtbs.
I can't believe that I am feeling this way over....bikes. :(

The wonderful thing about bikes is they don't get jealous. They'll wait for you when you're ready to return to them.

Siu,
Half-full. You have to remember. The glass is half full. :)
Don't feel guilty for not riding a road bike or MTB. Enjoy the one you are on and add variety to your life by swapping them around when you feel bored.

OH let's not even talk about the hybrid bike that I'm gonna take out in a minute.
This is why I sold my sea kayak...too many toys. Still have all 4 bikes though...and the motorcycle :thumb:
I feel that way too, like my road bike is getting jealous when I use the MTB.... hard to explain.

this is undoubtably wrong.
last time I took out my neglected bike, she wouldn't shift her gears properly.
I'm sure she would have triple flatted if she got the chance.
I recently purchased a utilitarian bike (aka: flat bar cyclocross, aka: first gen hybrid, aka: 29'er mountain bike, etc etc) to ride when I am out riding with the wife. It was amazingly fun to be able to hop curbs, cut across a vacant lot or open field without worrying about a crack or hole eating the (skinny) front wheel of one of my road bikes. It was like riding when I was a kid again, go anywhere. Then I got back on the road bike and remembered that going 17-20mph on it is a whole lot of fun when you lean deep into a turn.

The bikes feel jealous too--they don't appreciate the polyamory.

You could buy a Huffy.
They're like zombies...they don't care if they're left in a dark garage until they rot.

The sad part about being an Admin is that you can't put people on ignore.
