Hey guys, what would you say this bike is worth? Is this a good deal?

I think the asking price is high. It looks to be an entry level Raleigh from the presence of stem shifters and safety brakes. I assume that it needs a good tune up, the comment about the tires doesn't really seem like the seller knows much about bike maintenance. I don't know the specific equipment and it's tough to see the condition, $100.00 might be fair if you plan on keeping it. The seller really undercuts his price by saying they will negotiate, their attitude seems good though.

It probably didn't cost $175 when new.

Sounds like it needs new tubes and probably new tires, too. That's got to be about $50

New brake pads needed? How are the cables. A new set up there would be $25.

How's the seat? Seats always need replacing. Another $25?

I'd say $100 is too much. I'm thinking $50 but what the heck do I know.

Low end Raleigh, all steel parts. Look for something else. Nice to know you can go "pretty far" before the tires go flat. Jeez!

I don't see a Rapide in the 1976 brochure.
