I'm planning a Beijing or Shanghai to Kashgar tour for the summer of 2010. I'm free between Jan and Aug 2010, so I have a certain amount of flexibility to accomodate someone else's schedule.
I'm a male, 21 year old, Chinese Canadian architecture student from Toronto. I speak fluent Mandarin. I get along pretty well with most people, so anyone is welcome to join me either for the entire duration or a portion of the trip.
I'm thinking of passing through Xi'an and then taking the northern silk road, though I am willing to deviate from this route if requested.
The trip will be around 6000km and fully self supported.
If you're interested, contact me at yan dot personal at gmail dot com.
I'd also be grateful for any accounts of cycling this part of the world, as well as any pertinent wisdoms in terms of routes, desert cycling, etc, etc.
