Commuting - eye protection for "misty" mornings

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

What do you use? I use plastic lenses - they were useless in the mist this morning - not sure if anything out there would perform better. The lenses just turned into frosted shower doors. Usually rain just drips down and there's plenty of clear lens area to see through. Anyone else have issue with "misty" mornings?

I've used the old "soapy water trick" on some plastic racketball glasses to keep the fog in check and its worked pretty well. Also works great on sub-freezing mornings. I recently bought some of that Cat Crap stuff from EMS but I haven't used it yet.

I use yellow-lensed safety glasses from Home Depot, etc.. A little anti-fog stuff like Rain-X or Cat Crap works just fine for me.

Ride faster :)
I use clear lenses and wipe them occasionally with the thumb of my gloves. They have the cloth sweat/snot wipe patch and it works pretty well.

But I really gotta get around to inventing some glasses with little automatic lens wipers. :D

I use these $5 chem lab safety goggles over my glasses. Even if they bead up, my glasses stay clear so I get this little bit of extra focal length between the glasses and the ... glasses.
