craiglist ?
e-bay
www.classicrendezvous.com (http://www.classicrendezvous.com)

do you mean besides ebay? ebay has the largest volume by a long shot. Craigslist is great because it's local and you can "kick" the tires. additionally you can try www.roadbikereview.com good luck :)

That is the one I was looking for. I'd spent a lot of time on this site years ago, and couldn't recall what the site was.

be carefull on this site, I don't like their feedback area. It's simply a thread and hard to search. with ebay, a sellers feedback is right there. I bought something off of roadbikereview.com 18 months ago and it was not a good experience. let me know if you want to hear more. :(
I bought a used mountain bike from mountainbikereview.com (like roadbikereview only for mountain bikes... hehe). The nice thing is that there are folks out there that really know their bikes. Before buying my mountainbike, I had several e-mail and phone exchanges with the seller so that I could establish a level of trust with them. They have to trust me too as I do them.
In the end, we did COD so that I could even inspect the goods and if I didn't decide that what I was paying for was what she was talking about, then I could just deny delivery.
Just be wary of people who only accept cashier's checks, money orders or wire transfers. In my case, the seller wanted a money order but since it was COD, my butt was covered.
