In short, a cyclist was struck by two cars while riding on Shoreline. One driver was arrested. The rider suffered a fractured skull, a collapsed lung, a lacerated liver and other major injuries.

I'm sad to here that. A college buddy of mine that now rides for Cal Giant was struck by a car a few days ago and also suffered many injuries. Broken collar bone, arm, vertebra, rib(s?), and something in the femur/knee area. He's recovering and is in good spirits. I hope Claire Diepenbrock will have a happy outcome too.

Gawd, I hate reading these kinds of threads.

OTOH, if these stories weren't shared, we wouldn't know.

Keeping good thoughts for Claire. Hope the assailant gets the book thrown at them.
