Fifty Plus (50+) - No bike tonight

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I wanted to ride to work this evening, but I drove my S-10 instead.
Why, you ask? Well just because, oh....and 3.36 inches of rain this evening might have influenced my decision a little bit. :o
Wimp. ;)
I used it as a ride-through bike wash. It got all that nasty coffee and Gatorade goo off the downtube. Of course, for me it was the ride home.
Hey, whatcha doin' on Sunday?
I'm leading a nice little 58-miler called the Ten Parks Tour. Starts and ends at Cobbs Hill Park, and takes in nine other east-side parks along the way. Details (http://www.brucew.com/blog/2009/05/26/612).
I'd been planning a lunch stop at Vic & Irv's. But I see in the fishwrapper this morning that the Soap Box Derby is running on Sunday, right on the ride's route. I wonder if they'll have food there?

The puddles may have slowed you down, I understand, wise decision.

We've had it here too, just a few hours east of you. I have not ridden to work at all this week. I did get two morning rides in though between down pours. Sounds like TSL has one of these:

The bride and I are riding (or walking) down to the park to watch the airshow together. Later we'll be seeing our oldest off...she's going back to her home in L.A.
Sounds like you've got a good ride planned though it may get dicey if you hit the Soapbox Derby. In the past when I've watched it, they close Lakeshore Blvd. from Kings Highway to some point East of the race.

I think maybe that Pontiac did more damage than he's letting us know about. :innocent:

Yea - I have been a little worried about that. Gotta look out for our NY comrads.
