Seeing Spoke50's video "Little Bump In the Road" caused me to go back and look at a couple I have done with my pocket digital camera. They are too big to post of photo bucket and I don't have any way to edit them down to shorter videos. Does anyone know where I can upload a 7 miute video and then be able to post it here?

Check out VIMEO.com Sort of like Picasa or Flickr for videos. Think YouTube without global circulation, you can keep it private or make it public. You can link here but can't embed... that's a forum issue.

Example:

I was testing out youtube with a little video and I think you can keep it private there, too, but I'm not 100% sure of that. All I know is that I can only seem to get to it through my account. When I am not logged in, no amount of searching gets me to it.

Here's a link. Is it working?

This video is private.

I assume you can invite people by e-mail to view it but you couldn't just post a link in here. Vimeo has a password option you could use and then change it when you wanted to take your video private again.

Works for me.

I'm anxious to give this a try. I picked up a V.I.O. POV.1 Moto camera this spring for my scooter. I'll have to come up with a mount for the bike.

I tried VIMEO. It took three hours to load. It says this is the link. Let's see if if works. If it does, you need watch it only to the point where the road gets bumpy, unless you're a glutton for jumpy video.

<object width="400" height="300"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=4907057&amp;server=vimeo.com&amp;show_title=1&amp;show_byline=1&amp;show_portrait=0&amp;color=&amp;ful lscreen=1" /><embed src="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=4907057&amp;server=vimeo.com&amp;show_title=1&amp;show_byline=1&amp;show_portrait=0&amp;color=&amp;ful lscreen=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="400" height="300"></embed></object><p><a href="http://vimeo.com/4907057">Down Mt. Vernon</a> from <a href="http://vimeo.com/user1827306">Tom Frady</a> on <a href="http://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>.</p>

Never mind, it didn't work.

Works great, don't try to use their embed or link thingy, just copy the URL.

The embed thing does work in my blog, you can watch the video without leaving the site - for instance:

It just doesn't work in this forum.
