Hi I am considering a 04 specialized hardrock comp and I see it has a marzocchi mZ comp fork. All I can find reference to is the mX comp. I was wondering if any one knew what the differences were? Is it a good shock for a 180 lbs guy?

Also is this a decent bike? All i will be doing is xc with a little bit of trail and maybe a tiny bit of light jumping.

Anyone have specs on the 05 specialized's that are coming out soon? I want to get a bike soon but if the new ones will be the same price with possibly better components then I might wait.

Thanks

It's an entry level fork. Not great, but I weigh 200 lbs and I don't bottom out. It's stiffer than most forks in the price range.

Sounds like your style of riding will mesh great with the bike.

honestly not a very great fork but if you are only doing a couple of trails and a few rough stuff then its okay

thanks guys, I went ahead and got the bike yesterday. I like it for the most part, I'm going to change the rear derailer as soon as I get a chance though as the one thats on there is pretty clunky. I planned on upgrading it anyway so no big loss now I just have to determine which one to get :)
