Anyone here racing with bars with less than a 80 reach?

What kind?

I am trying to find something 75 or shorter in a 44 width but its not so easy.

Anyone use the deda zero100?

any idea if the reach is the same across all widths?

The wcs logic ii's fooled me with an advertised 72 reach but i found out thats only for 38 width. In 44 they are 82.

luckily it looks like competitive cyclists has them so I can just get confirmation from them

I have the Deda zero 100 bars and stem. Don't have many miles on them yet, but no complaints. Just remember when ordering that Deda measures outside to outside. So if you're used to c-c measured bars you'd have to get the Deda in a 46 to make them equivalent to 44 c-c.

thanks for that tip. i currently use an fsa wing bar. no idea what measurement its using.

i think i am going to try out those deda bars if I can find a deal on them anywhere

I got these this year and love them. very comfy in the drops, nice short reach.

the drops have a nice smooth shape to them, not like in the picture.

easton measures theirs properly. 3t has some kind of odd obsession with measuring things while they are diagonal...

yes, w/ a newton stem, campy. i like that they have a "rounded" anatomic shape. i find them very comfortable with various hand positions. fast becoming my favorite bars.

they replaced specialized carbon bars, which i believe are 78 x 132.

How should they measure then if the bar ends are horizontal? If the bars don't have flat tops should they rotate them up so that they are flat and then measure that?

looks like there are a couple carbon bars like that easton that fit what I want but id rather stay away from carbon bars for a couple reasons mainly being out of my price range. the easton equipes would be perfect though

The EA70 has (or seems to have) a similar shape/size as the EC90.

the ec90 equipe has a classic bend almost though. the ea70 is more ergo

i have deda fluida bars. I like them.

for those playing at home I ordered the deda zero 100. They look very similar to the EC90 equipes in terms of bend. I also like what I hear about deda bars working well with campy shifters.

I use Ritchey Biomax - not on my road bike anymore, but going to go on my cross bike. similar to those salsa bars up there. 75mm reach, an ergo section that suits me.

The ones I use (Specialized Ruby and Dolce bars) only go up to 42cm. Both are short reach. One is mid-drop. One shallow drop. Both are 75mm reach.

They are similar to the Pro Road Ergo (aluminum) and Sworks SL Advanced (carbon) bars. The shallow versions of those are 78mm reach, 132mm drop. They come in 44cm.

Bontrager also makes compact bars in a variety of sizes.

I might try 3T Ergonova next (77mm reach). The drop is super shallow, but I guess I could drop my stem on the tarmac. I have it a little high now to compensate for deeper drop in the bars.

+1 on the 3T Ergonova. I've been using them for a few months now, and they are the comfiest bars evar. 77mm reach, shallow (123mm) drop.

the deda zero is 75/128 and i was able to get it in 44 c-c. the ergonova looks ok too but i like the bend of the deda better
