Chiropractic / Sussex or O'Fallun / Wonder Lake
?

I'll be shooting at the Wisconsin races, both less than an hour's drive from me. :D

Chiropractic/Sussex. This is my chance to overtake the lead in the cat 3 WI cup assuming Tim P doesn't have new wheels yet.

Of course, I've replaced a fair number of components on my own crash machine in the past week...

Pass.

I'm conserving my failures for the Winfield twilight followed by the ABR national championships the following weekend.

I'll be at the Milwaukee IRL race on Sunday, though. If you want to count that as "racing"

Up on the dirt in Rhinelander Sunday. Plan = start in the back and figure out how these MTB races work.
Have fun this weekend on the pavement!

Oh yeah ... I'm surprised I didn't hear them practice at all this year. Usually if the wind is right, we can hear them quite well. The NASCAR boyz too.

Also looking forward to Winfield. Both tough courses in their own right. :D

I'll be at Sussex. Now that I have a job I have to work. Which sucks, but at least I have a job.

Great weather, good turnout, tough course.

More in just a bit ... while my 'bike-cam' video is rendering.

All kinds of software problems here ... until I get that straightened out, watch some TV:

O'Fallon turned out to be a superbly-organized race.

My cat consisted of 35 would-be sprinters and 1 diesel. Breakaway or attack was a bad word today.

Got caught behind a crash with 3 miles to go. Wasn't able to bridge up, finished about halfway.

There was a bad crash in the cat 3 race in Sussex today. A rider rolled up between two tight riders on a downhill, and got squeezed into a crash, taking down several riders, breaking at least one bike, and possibly breaking bones.

... see all this and more on the 9 O'clock news. :p

Computer is out of memory. Am backing up GB ++ of files before I can do anything with what was gathered today. Check back at 9pm and hopefully I'll have some video to share.

I was very impressed with the organization at O'fallon this past weekend.

Wild Card Cycling stole the day in both the Mens 4/5 and Womens 4 race.

Mark cracked his frame in that crash. I heard Josh has a possible broken pelvis.

I had a crappy race. Attack, get caught, and then the field would sit up for like 3 laps. 10th.
I lasted about 50 minutes in the P123 race, which I was pretty happy with.

Yeah, that was a nasty little pileup. Just saw it on video. I'm able to watch it with only just one media player, but still unable to edit it. Need more free space on hard drive I think.

Wonder Lake....not a pathetic turnout. Lot of the regulars. Tight turns. 4's race was clean. I brought a big can of meh with me. 16th

4/5 masters I started to slide out in a turn. Went to accelerate and it slid out again. That's how long it took me to realize I had a flat. Boo. Had no wheels in the pit but just rode easy in. Saw a teammate and asked if I could get his wheel. 9spd on my 10spd. Meh. Got a free lap from Dave Fowkes and got back into it.

My mojo was shot at that point. Just tried to race heads up and talked to a bunch of guys. 2 or 3 left and it got stacked up in the main straight as no one wanted to work on the front and everyone spread out across the road. With a tight turn coming up some guys swung out and pushed a guy from Beverly off the course. I saw him fall. Didn't look nice. Heard he may have broken his collarbone.

I didn't want to contest the sprint feeling like I had "cheated" by taking a free lap  and not knowing how the shifting would work near the ends of the cassette. Good thing. Everything went loose on me as I went for my 11 cog. No tension in the chain as it never hooked up with a cog. I saved it and downshifted but knew I was finishing where I was.

Didn't see the results but think it was 20-something. I will call this my year of mediocrity.

Winfield next weekend.

Recursive/Frukin/flanders...let me know if you guys are ever looking to crash in the Chicago area for a race.

Greetings all:
Great race yesterday in the WORS MTB series. Apparently dirt is good for the roadie soul once in a while.

A short video/slideshow can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3B8H7mW5s8w (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3B8H7mW5s8w)

Video from the Sussex race is posted on the front page of my website. See Frunkin climb, watch Tjayk head for the grass to avoid the crash! and observe Recursive's awesomeness in the final sprint !!

Awesome idea with the video J. I really like the backward facing camera. I like the music too.

Nice riding. I think the best part is where you shoot up the gutter, another IS Corp rider jumps on your wheel, and you both ride right up to the front.

Once I get my #(*&#)@!! computer cleaned out, I should be able to zero in on those crashes.

Looking for a rider to carry the cam in Winfield on Saturday, maybe Sunday. Any catagory, prefer at least a pack finish. PM me if interested.

Great video. Dumb question. Why does the sun look like it has a UFO in front of it every time it's in the frame?

Looking forward to the pics. Looking forward to buying a couple. I missed out on the win for the M4/5 race but coming across in 3rd isn't too shabby. Maybe I'll get the digital version and photoshop it. ha!

i haven't been on here b/c my computer is in for repairs...

as always, nice camera work john. i must have been trying for max camera time in that video from sussex. you can just barely see my dive for the grass - good thing noone was behind me.

also, recursive: if you didn't notice yet TP/sandbaggy upgraded! although it looks like you have a new challenger for overall.

p.s. recursive - call me if you are doing the trek 100/let's carpool.
