I am talking about that sweet spot, when you are cycling, and you feel so good. Every thing is just right, you are not getting tired, you are making good time, and it just feels great. I got in the zone for about 9 miles yesterday, the second half of my ride. My cadence was high, my speed was 18-20, and everything was great. My ride from the trail to my home, 1.19 miles, mostly uphill, didn't even tire me. I was not even a little tired after I put my bike away. No soreness at all today, I guess I am ready to step up to 25 miles starting tomorrow, and hold it for a few weeks. Yesterday was really a memorial ride. BTW, the last couple of outings, I have made it a point to stay on the small crank. I feel great. Best -

I stayed like that for about 10miles. Then it went away and I got all tired and cranky :(

I get that from time to time... usually after the first 500 miles of the year... I have my base in by then, and then it's time for the sweet pain of hills, and stuff. Sometimes you just into a groove, and keep on truckin' !!

anything over 20 mph i'm usually really focused on what i'm doing. below that, i start lose that razor sharp focus.
I had that this morning. I have a 25 mile one-way commute and it was raining the entire way in this morning. I started out on the bus, getting pretty bummed that I had to ride in this crap, but when I got out there, I was flying. I was in teh zone, so to speak.
