So I picked up an old Puch Cavalier, fixed conversion. I'd like to stick a brake on there, but the fork is set up for the older nutted bolt calipers.
My LBS said they could drill the fork and convert it to accept recessed nutted calipers.
My question is: has anyone done this, and does it compromise the integrity of the fork?

No one has ever seen what you are about to see ... you are like the voyageurs of old. Go, and discover!

It has been done countless times and if the frame is not a collectible then go for it.
