Discovery of torn muscles and partially ruptured Achilles tendon has pushed on the doc's speculated recovery date from my crash (May, 10th) out to August 10th. :notamused:

So you can't ride abike for a long time- Bet you will be though.

So while you are off the bike- Don't forget the rest of body will lose fitness if you don't keep using it. Get down the gym and get a training programme for everything above the injury- that is not going to put strain on the injury and put the recovery date back. Had 2 prolongued periods of Inactivity after surgery and after the first spell of 5 months of doing no exercise- when the second one came up- I was down the gym working the rest of the body. Didn't help though as the first hill I came across and someone had made it twice as steep as it used to be.

Good luck on the re-training programme.

The doctor has me in physical therapy, to gain range of motion back in my shoulder. Soon therapy will start for my leg as well. I am looking forward to riding again though; for sure. Already started shopping for a new bike to build :thumb:

This may represent karma for converting a Puch into a single-speed. Be careful, kids!

As soon as you can walk, start building up to an hour or two a day. Does wonders for healing.

Yeah, but I more than make up for it with class.
