Maybe i missed something but the thieves cut the chain too? Even if he says the seat post is his, the chain should have still be attached to the font crank........

then again i might be wrong

I think it is odd that they went to the trouble of taking the seat off, when it would be easier to take the post out........ Same with the stem/handlebars.

Have you tried putting the b screw in backwards, you might be able to sneak a bit more clearance that way, though from the looks of it might not be enough. (This is just sort of a band-aid for a larger underlying problem with the derailleur, but hey if it works it works)

- the little "L" thing for the V brakes (you know what I'm talking about, right??? The metal housing by the brake calipers that you run the brake line in. What's the proper name for that?)
