I'm planning on taking the family for several days of mtn biking in West Va this summer. While there, I'd like to introduce them to some whitewater rafting. We'll be close to the lower new river. I googled and there are about 20 outfitters. Does anyone have a recommendation on a reputable outfitter? Thanks!

My Scout group uses Ace, and we've been quite happy with the experience. Guides have been good, food (lunch on the river) has been good, and the price is decent. Oh, and the bus ride is almost as thrilling as the rafting.

ACE is the one, ask for Katie Vino as your guide, she's really good.

I've been on Class 6 before, but I think they were bought out? Not sure, but its a really good outfitter!!! I went with a few friends a few years ago, I dunno if it was a package deal, but we got breakfast (one the best I've had!), lunch on the river and dinner afterwards.
