So I have a dt swiss hub/wtb rim/magura rotor which I just got. The rotor was on the wheel for whatever reason. I also have a manitou splice comp fork, post mount. I'm looking to get avid juicy sevens for it, will this work? Also, the 160mm avid juicy 7 is cheaper than the 185, but the rotor on the wheel currently is a 185. Could I get the cheaper one and just use the current rotor? What I'm asking, is if the caliper is the same on the 160 and will work with a 185 rotor?
I believe the caliper is the same for all avid BB brakes. You'd probably need a different adaptor to make the 160mm kit work with the 185mm rotor.
Depending on the price difference, you might not save any money after you factor in buying the extra adapter. And if you buy the 185 kit, you'd have a spare rotor.
