tering! Good grief! I thought I hated winter!
The other day when it was nice I went to start the lawn mower soI could do the back yard before it got too hot. Of course the &&^$# wouldn't start and I threw my back out (again). So now it's in the mid 90's I know the mower will not start so why bother on a day like today? But, I better try it to look good... right? Of course it fired up first pull and I didn'd dare4 shut it down. Now Im dying and thinking a ride through the desert to cool off.

How was your day????

Not to brag. Fabulous.

Day started clear and cool, warmed up, I finished my ride before the heat of the day set in. I had ordered a new jersey (smartwool) and shorts (sugoi evolution), both fit perfectly and were extremely comfortable for me. I ate lunch and then had an ice cream cone. :thumb: Only thing better than this would have been pie with that ice cream. :thumb::thumb:

Now we're getting ready to grill; marinated tofu skewers (trick is to wrap the tofu in thin slices of zucchini or carrot before putting them on the skewer) and grilled vegetable pasta salad with fresh basil. Later, we might head out to a local park to watch bats emerge from their slumber. It's so beautiful out, it would be a great way to enjoy the rest of the evening.

How big is your lawn? I use a reel mower, and it works great. It doesn't require oil or gasoline, and is a good way to get easy exercise, and my favorite---it's quiet and not smelly. I found a place that charges $40 to sharpen and adjust the blades which lasts at least 3 years.

Not bad.

Mowed the lawn, tilled the garden for the second time. It's a new garden on our side yard. The turf/sod has been stripped, the dirt has been tilled once to bust it up. Then it rained and packed it all down again, so I had to wait three days for it to dry, and till it again.

'Took a 5 mile ride in the bushes down by the lake in the quad mud hole. it got to 85 or more today.

Not bad.

90 degrees and the **#@(@$&#(*@($&# 20+ mph Ellensburg wind made my 46 miles on one of the vintage Gitane's a serious workout. Stuck with a 42-24 as the low gear for the hills going into the wind because my wife had the others shoes for the 39-26 bike in Wenatchee. Doh!!! I knew I should have taken them out of the car.

Thought about mowing the lawn - but that all I did. I have two boys who can mow it this week.
